Is ginger tea good for acid reflux?

Usually well tolerated

Ginger is widely used for nausea and indigestion, and small amounts are usually well tolerated. Very large amounts can cause heartburn in some people.

Tips

  • Use fresh ginger slices in hot water; avoid blends that contain peppermint.

Is it a trigger for you?

Reactions vary a lot between people. Log ginger tea in the symptom diary for two weeks: it shows how often each food is followed by symptoms. Then try two weeks without it and compare.
