Are nuts bad for acid reflux?

Depends on the person

Nuts are healthy but high in fat. A small handful is usually fine; large amounts may trigger symptoms in some people.

Tips

  • Stick to a small handful, not straight before bed.

Is it a trigger for you?

Reactions vary a lot between people. Log nuts in the symptom diary for two weeks: it shows how often each food is followed by symptoms. Then try two weeks without it and compare.
