Are eggs bad for acid reflux?
Usually well tolerated
Boiled or poached eggs are usually well tolerated. Fried eggs and eggs with fatty sides like bacon are more likely to trigger symptoms. Some people find the yolk bothers them more than the white.
Tips
- Poach or boil rather than fry.
Is it a trigger for you?
Reactions vary a lot between people. Log eggs in the symptom diary for two weeks: it shows how often each food is followed by symptoms. Then try two weeks without it and compare.
